A cop leads his team into
a trap and he is the only survivor. He's drowning his guilt in booze
when he eventually get a younger new partner who turns out too have
his own secrets.
This is a reboot of the
Police Story series. Jackie Chan is still in it but now he plays
another character named Chan Kwok-Wing and guess what, he's fantastic
in this. I know i have said he's been good earlier but this time he's
at his absolute greatest. He shows us a lot of emotions and every
emotion he shows he sells beautifully. Jackie Chan is not the only
one showing his great acting-capabilities in this, Nicholas Tse is
fantastic to see on screen and he has great chemistry with Jackie
Chan. Even the bad-guys are interesting this time. Great cast, great
characters
The story is a lot better
this time around. First of all they got rid of the awkward comedy
that i had a problem with. The movie itself is a lot darker in tone
too. It feels more grown up, a little more aimed at adults. Very good
action too, the fight choreography is top notch. This is by far my
favorite installment in the Police Story series.
TL;DR
Fantastic movie with a
fantastic story, Jackie Chan is at his best. This is my favorite in
the Police Story series. Great action and fight choreography. They
still speak Cantonese but this movie can be enjoyed by all. Simply
fantastic.
My question for you:
Does it matter what
language they speak in movies? Can you easily watch movies from like
Hong Kong or does the fact that they speak another language stop you
from enjoying the movie?
